For those of you not familiar; Mississippi's flag looks a lot like the Confederate flag. Some want to change it; other's argue for it.  Some say that it is not a symbol of racism to them; some older people even say that we were fighting for "state's rights" in the "war of northern aggression".  I personally have seen it all my life; and do not see a malicious intent in it. However, I don't want to fly one and if it offends so many people so much it wouldn't hurt to just change it.

I live in Mississippi, and personally... I don't care. They can go ahead and change it if people are offended.

Take it from a guy who is from MS, it is not any sign of racisim, even the Confederate flag itself was not for racisim. It was slavery. Just because someone had a slave, doesent mean they are racist. God enslaved many nations because of thier rejection, Is God racist? No.

Slavery in America at the time was influenced by racism. All races WERE slaves; but eventually it became mostly blacks. And even after slavery was repealed, people showed racist sentiment.
