Casual sexism/homophobia refuses to join the cheerleaders/color guard/dance team/gymnastics/etc. because it’s “gay.” Casual racism is not seeing a problem with fantasy races in media being unequal in intelligence and/or ‘moral virtue’, especially when they’re analogous to real-life cultures. Casual sexism is being told "you’ll start looking butch or like a lesbian if you do weights."

Casual heterosexism is when heterosexual people criticize LGBT people for allowing things like gay rights to influence their voting decision(s).. Casual heterosexism is straight people telling gay people that “there are more important issues” than whether or not we can get married, raise children, keep our jobs, serve openly in the military, and be protected from hate crimes. Heterosexism is prejudice against people who aren't straight.
