As an American, I hear all the time of how much the world hates America and what I see on TV confirms that. My question is: why? Why do they hate us? Why exactly does the Islmaic world hate America so much? Why do Europeans hate America so much? Id like to hear the answer from preferribly someone non-American but I invite anyone who has an opinion to answer.

sorry I had to get rid of this post. Most likely because we invaded their country and for the uk I have no clue.

The muslim ''bible'' which is called the Qur''an does NOT say to kill people who do not have the same religion. Just to be clear.

I actually haven''t read the Qur''an, but I had a look, and it seems that it basically sanctions self defense - you have to remember that it was written ages ago, and that there''s a lot of interpretation involved in translation. Here''s a short little bit on it from an article:

The Qur''an''s teachings on matters of war and peace have become topics of heated discussion in recent years. Some critics allege that some verses of the Qur''an in their historical and literary context sanction military action against unbelievers as a whole both during the lifetime of Muhammad and after. In response to this criticism, some Muslims argue that such verses of the Qur''an are taken out of context, and clxxx that when the verses are read in context it clearly appears that the Qur''an prohibits aggression, and allows fighting only in self defense.

I''d put more but it''s a HUGE discussion, and something that one should approach with caution and LOTS of research
