Of course no one could say that everyone that voted for Obama was racist. There were people that voted for him because they believed in what he said, but we can't state that America is beyond racism. It simply isn't. There were people that voted for Obama because of his race, there were people who voted for fear of being called racist and of course there is always the percentage of people that don't hold nearly any political views and vote for the majority or by flipping a coin. There are people like these in every election, people that vote in fear of what others will think if they don't go along with what their friends believe. It was just that in this election race and gender played a part. There were intelligent people that voted for Obama, but there were also ignorant people that voted for him too.

I think that SOME people voted for him because hes black, but a lot of people voted for him because they agreed with what he was saying, or they wanted to vote democrat. I know that if I could of voted, I would of voted for him, not because he's black, but because at the time of the election I agreed with him. I mean, yeah, people are going to say its cool that we elected a black president, its historic. But that doesnt mean that he won JUST because hes black.
