I agree with you guys. After he won I mostly only heard people talking about how great it was that we had a black president, I barely heard anyone say that it was great to have someone that will make a difference. People don't always realize that racism goes either way, it isn't something explicet to one nationality.
actully no one is being raciest inless they dont have 3 or more reasons why they like mccain or obama and the reason i dont like mccain is because he will most likley be like bush, and i think he is to old, and he is a republican. and my mom and dad and pretty much my whole family vote only for democrats they dont care what race you are.
Okay.....I'm not trying to be rude, but that was the most prejudicial post I've ever read.
1. How do you know that McCain would end up like Bush?
2. What makes Bush so bad? o_O
3. He's too old? Puh-lease. That's probably one of the dumbest reasons not to vote for McCain.
4. Older = More experienced
5. Being a republican doesn't make you evil. -_-;;
Sorry if I seem kind of rude, but I just really needed to say that.
~I love Demyx almost as much as I love cookies. And I love cookies a lot.~
Because mcCain chose Pallin for vice alot of people didn't vote for him. Because he is old people took in to mind that he may die within the 4 years and she would run America. I agree with you, but just wanted to show why I though some people didn't vote for McCain.
It is not Death we fear, but the fact we may not be able to see the ones around us and that the loneliness will consume us.
Anime-It's like crack for kids! ;D
A world without anime is a world without giant robots...Everyone loves giant robots right? Anime FTW!
The day we no longer have anime is the day I truely become suicidal.

I find it funny that every one loves Obama. Most people only liked him because he was "black" (Excuse ME if I'm to blatant about it". You say all people should be treated equally? I know a lot of people voted for him because they didn't want to feel racist if they DIDN'T vote for him. If you ask me that's a bunch of bologna (ba-lo-ni)!! In the beginning he didn't do as much good as he did bad but people STILL loved him! They said he was the RIGHT one for America and what not. Well, I'm not hating him because he's black, I don't really have anything against the guy. Granted, I liked McCain better, but still, nothing to do with the facts! Do you know how many black people were there when he was sworn in? Let me tell you, a LOT! So, if you say our country isn't racist, you've got something coming for you!
you have a point, I quite like Obama, btu it's true that some people are racist because they they treat people differently (in a good way) in an attempt to not be racist.
well he did make history , if you want to go waste your vote on something you don't believe in just because someone will think something bad about you sounds like a personally problem to me, and their not doing their duty as a citizen of these united states by wasting their voice in a big political decision. and come on now we can't change people opinion that’s the whole point of voting. for you to pick the candidate that best supports your situation and help you get out of it. and why do we have to look at like there where so many black people can’t it just be look at how many people came out to support obama. obviously they had faith in the guy and this type of stuff happens in every election. people support the candidate they want to win by coming out and showing their devotion to that particular political party!

Well, I'm not American, though I am living in America, so it effects me, as well.
I do agree with you when you say most people loved him and thought he'd be perfect to be president because he's African American, which really doesn't make much sense, if you ask me. The color of your skin doesn't effect who you are. If I were running for president and my skin was purple, would you vote for me right then and there? Probably not.
Unlike a lot of people, I actually like to pay attention to the kind of things Obama is going to do for this country. Will he raise taxes? Will he send out more troops? Will he lower gas prices? Those are the kind of things I want to know. Not, "Obama, who's your tailor!" or "Obama, where did you get your shoes?"
Just because he's the first black president doesn't mean he's going to be perfect, people. Sure, it's a great stride in American history, but it really doesn't mean anything other than Obama is going to be remembered as the first black president.

The arrival of our first African Americam President changed our history so no one could down us because of the color of our skin because yes there are still racist in the U.S. the Gina six was example of that but alot of black people became involved in this election because they wanted to help change history not be racist people who had never voted before voted the change in our history was just a bonus it wasn't a statement but excuse us for wanting to see things in a new light ~ Rant continued
Look people. You can't think he will fix everything that Bush messed in a minute right? My mom voted for him cuz we like him. Not because he is black. And I do think you racist
