Just my views ; not trying to force them on people:

-There should be prayer and Bibles aloud in schools, but not forced. As in, if someone is done with their work, they should be aloud to quietly read their Bible.
-Yes, we should protect the enviorment some, but it shouldn't be our MAIN priority.
-I do NOT believe in abortion. I don't know what I think of rape or life-death situations, but DEFFINITALLY not for a teenager that was careless.
-People should be able to earn and use their money according to how they work. I know that people need to give to others, but willingly (and somewhere were you KNOW the money will go to someone who needs it), not government-forced.

There. Those are my oppinions.

I think it was cool of you to state what you believed on here in such an open and friendly manner! Smile I agree with you on most terms. Here is what I think:

-For the acceptance of other religions in schools I don't think that the Bible should be read during class time, but I think that it would be wonderful if schools had clubs or electives that had to do with studing scriptures or hearing out peoples opinions on religion.

-I agree with you on the enviorment. There are millions of people that don't have enough to eat every night, but we are spending money on earth friendly windows. I understand that we have to take care of our planet, but we can't forget the people that live on it.

-I am also against abortion and personally find it wrong. Not a lot of doctors tell women what happens in an abortion and I think it should be mandatory to fully explain to the woman what will be done to her baby. I am not against women having the choice, but I think they should make the choice with full knowledge of what an abortion is and what are the chances of their babies surviving with injuries.

-I agree with you on spending money. Americans work hard for their money and shouldn't have to use it to pay for our government leader's jumbo jets. (Nancy Pelosi wants a private jet to take her to Washington that costs $30,000 a week. That's more than some families make a year.)

I think you both have really good opinions on the topics. Shadow, I agree with the Bible suggestion of it not in the classroom but definitely in clubs and activities. The only thing I have to say that I don't agree on is your stance on abortion. If anyone reads this, don't be disrespectful. You're allowed another opinion, but don't flame mine Dazed Anyways. I'd never have an abortion myself, and I'd never encourage anyone to have one because yeah, I think it's morally unjust.. but I absolutely do think that women should be allowed the choice. Freedom is freedom to me, and choosing whether or not to have a child falls under that.. but that's just my opinion.

That's absolutely fair enough. Like I said, we're all entitled to our own opinions, just as long as we're willing to listen to others.

Correct me if I'm wrong. But I'm pretty sure you're allowed to pray and read The Bible in school if you want to. I was in my school's library on Friday and they had Bibles in there (along with a large selection of other religious text). So yes, people can practice whatever religion they want in school. But making it mandatory? No. That shouldn't be allowed (at least not in public schools anyways).

As for your view on abortion, I disagree. I think that women should be able to do whatever they want to do with their own bodies. I don't think anyone should have a say on what someone can do with themselves. The government doesn't own our bodies, therefore they should not be able to say what we can and cannot do with them. For this same reason, that is why I support legalization of drugs, but that is neither here nor there. My main point is that if a girl gets pregnant then she should have the option to have an abortion. If a teenager is having un-protected sex and ends up getting pregnant then she should have the option to get an abortion, its her body and its her choice.

I agree. And i do think that in the case of rape or life-threatening situations, the mother should be able to get an abortion. I mean, its just horrible to think of keeping the baby when you were raped, but I think i would risk my life if i was sick for the baby though, but some people may not want to so i guess thats their choice. But for any other reason, i think it should be illegal (abortion).

I think religious education (RE) shouldn't be allowed in School as compulsory (unless you've got a note from you parents) because, that's what my school did and it wasn't RE...it was Christianity Education. No other religion.

Not to mention that they did say things that translated to mean, "Be a christian or you don't deserve to live." I'm not really any religion...but I still celebrate Christmas and Easter etc. But would you like it if it was just Scientology or any other other religion as religious education and they tried to brainwash you into believing it? I'd think not.

That's not what I was saying at ALL. I said that people should be ALLOWED to express their faith in schools, not TEACH it.
