Well, we need an extreme penalty as a deterrent to crime. As the crime rate in our nation(US) increases, sometimes the best thing is to just to kill them.

I am totally against. All it does is end their pain and give them peace at mind for what they did a whole lot sooner. Think about this way if someone kills someone and is sentenced to the death penalty we are becoming killers. Also, once they are killed they don't have the guilt of what they did hanging over their heads. Where as if we gave them a life sentence in jail they would have to sit there all day long with nothing to think about what they actually did and why they are there and about not getting to see their family. As soon as we kill them the pain and suffering mentally and physically is gone and they are at peace. The death penalty basically amounts to hurting the killers innocent family (emotionally) and relieving the killer of the guilt. That doesn't make sence as a punishment.

I'm sorta against at the same time I'm not.
It depends how bad it is.

I am all 4 it. if someone does summin bad enough 2 deserve it. they should get it. an eye for an eye and a tooth for a tooth.

Do any of you realize how hypocrytical you are if you are saying you are for the death penalty?? God, its so annoying!!! You sit here and say and eye for an eye, but if you are taking this persons life, then why shouldn't your life be taken?? Who are you to say who lives and who dies?? Why should you be able to decide that?? I've never heard of a death penalty that wasn't given for murder. You are saying, You killed this guy. It was wrong. But its ok for the government to go out and kill people. Do you see the hypocrycy(sorry if thats spelled wrong) in that??

NO!!! why kill people to prove that killing people is wrong??? Also, think of all the innocent people, who have been falsely convicted of a murder, who are getting killed by the death penalty

i agree with it as long as they r totally sure its the right person theyre killing. if someone commits a serious dangerous crime then they need 2 b punished 4 it and this is a way 2 show criminals (murderers) what they did they took precious life from someone and with the death penalty it gives those left behind justice and shows the criminal what they did 2 someone. i agree with it.

Someone killed the man who assasinated... I think it was JFK. im not sure. then he was killed. look at it. someone gets killed, then the next, then another! i think all it does is keep the murder chain going. so im against it.

I think it's worst getting life sentence because you'll go crazy and when someone would someone I'm close to I want they're life to feel horrible.
SO I'm against it!
