Evree:
My heart raced with anger. Why had Marshall done this?
"Do you hear that?"
I didn't look up or respond, for I was to angry with him.
"That's her."
Of course.
"Exactly what we need."
I turned around and began walking in the other direction until Marshall called out to me.
"Where are you going? Confession stands this way."
"Marshall, are you kidding me?"
I screamed at him.
"Evree, you're drawling attention..."
I walked over to him, my eyes squinted in disbelief.
"You're kidding me right?"
He laughed.
Marshall:
Evree always over reacted.
"No, Ollie wants cotton candy."
"Yeah, cotton candy Mommy!"
Evree shook her head.
"I don't know why I love you, Marshall Lee."
She pushed past me and continued walking. Oliver laughed.
"No you don't."
I held Oliver with one hand on my shoulders and wrapped the other around Evree. I kissed her cheek, then she pushed me away, crossing her arms again. There scent grew stronger as well as the sound of the one singing.
"Give me him."
I handed Oliver to Evree, and he fell asleep in seconds. She cast a spell on him, as I knew she would, so Oliver wouldn't attack the nasty dogs. We approached the stand where she was singing.
"You sing better then her you know that, right?"
I whispered into Evree's ear, then kissed her cheek.
"Knock it off."
"Im serious! I bet if you got up there you'd get three times the amount of applause."
She rolled her eyes and laughed sarcastically.
"No way. I'm staying away from them as much as possible."
Oliver rested on Evree's shoulder, fast asleep.
"Comon Eve. When was the last time you sang in front of a crowd?"
She smiled.
"That night we sandy for charity. When we still lived in our apartment."
I smiled and kissed her.
"It'll be fun."
She sighed.
"Fine, I'll do it. Wait until she's done though."
I laughed. I could persuade her to do anything.
I belong with , you belong with me , you're my sweet heart . ❤
