Personality: He's quiet, but if he had an actual voice, he would never stop talking. He was born without any vocal cords, so he can't speak. Since he doesn't talk much, he doesn't socialize either, so he really has no friends, he doesn't know it, but he's popular amongst the girls, and a lot of the guys look up to him. He's kind, and can put up with a lot, but he'll let someone know when he's angry, but won't lash out at people.

Other: He's an expert at the violin and piano, and tends to write a lot, always carrying around a notebook so he can talk to people. His parents were both killed when he was younger in a car accident, so he lives with a pair of foster parents, who practically ignore him, or if not forgetting he's even there, yell at him.

Okay:

Violet got off the bus and walked down the small paved path towards the school like the res to of the kids. The other kids bumped into her but she didn't say a word and caught herself when she nearly fell. She gave up trying and got out of their way, sitting down on a small marble bench that had been dedicated to the principle. She watched as the kids passed by and looked up at the sky. It was a clear day. She smiled to herself and looked back down, waiting for the kids to clear out so she could make her way into the big brown building.

Alanzo stretched as he walked. Geez, it was so freakin' cold today. He pulled his jacket tightly around him as he approached the building he went to school in, gaze going to a girl sitting down on the stupid bench the teachers had all insisted we spend the school's money on to honor the principle, who mainly just screamed at every student she saw, what a witch. He figured the girl didn't like pressing through the crowd, honestly he didn't either, so he sat down right next to her, looking up at the six AM sky.

Violet looked over at Alanzo. She had overheard many girls talk about him but had never actually seen him. She realized what they had been talking about. She blushed to herself, looking at the crowd as it slowly started to thin. She stood up, glancing back at Alanzo. She gave him a friendly smile as the crowd past them completely. She looked at the school, not really wanting to go in. She had selective mutism but because she had no family or friends, no one could explain that to the teachers or the prinicpal so she was constantly getting in trouble.

Alanzo watched the girl walk away. She seemed familiar, it was then he realized her name was Violet, and she was almost all of his classes. She's pretty.. he thought, smiling a little. She didn't talk much, and it took one to know one. He knew she was probably mute, just like him. He wished that he could say something about it when the teachers yelled at her. After a while he simply stood and followed her inside, tapping her on the shoulder.

Violet looked back at him when he tapped her. She smiled again and waved hello. She began walking beside him instead of infront of him. He was quiet, but she liked that. If he had been loud or talkative, she would've gotten confused with his words. It was then she realized that he was in pretty much all her classes and he sat in the way back. Why hadn't she noticed before?

He waved back as well, grabbing his notebook, pulling out his pen and scribbling in it, showing it to her. It read;
Hey, I'm Alanzo. You're Violet, right? How are you?
