Akeer:
I snuggled a little closer to Kwasii to help him walk better.

Juliet:
I glanced over at Kwasii.

Kwasii:
I was hurt and i was still in pain, but I held my head high and smile. I was the kind of person to smile, all the time. hrough thick and thin.

Juliet:
I smiled, walking with him. I knew he must still be in a little pain, and I wished I could take that away, but I knew I couldn't.

Kwasii:
I smiled at her and then looked up at the sky, "Looks as if it might rain, girls."

Akeer:
"Will we walk through it or find shelter?" I asked and looked up at him. No one said it, but it was obvious to the three of us. He was the leader.

Kwasii:
"If the rain is light, we'll move on. If there is lightning, we find shelter. I don't want to take any chances." I said and smiled.

Akeer:
I nodded and smiled, glancing upwards. I wondered how long this trip would take us...

(Yeah, sure.)

Akeer:
I looked around. Five months. We spent five months walking down south. We were close, we could tell, but this had been a scary five months. We were all pretty much anorexic because none of us thought it would take this long, so none of us had brought enough food.

Juliet:
I kept walking, feeling like I'd collapse any minute now, like I had for the past few days.

I had a tight grip on the girls, fighting through everything. I trudged along, but I couldn't take it anymore. "We've got to-- to stop."  I tell them, coughing a bit. "Just... Just for one night. .We need to find water." I tell them.
