I sighed and looked up at the ceiling. "You know that really popular, pretty girl in the movies that runs the school and is snobby. Yeah, well that's you." I sighed once more and glanced at the book to see which page she was at.

I shrug. "Well. . ." I said, feeling bad when I noticed the hurt look on her face. "I didn't really mean it that way. . " I said quickly, placing a hand on her shoulder.

I thought for a while, choosing my words carefully. "I'm just jealous of your popularity." I said with a nervous smile. I sank even more into my chair, fearing her reply. I felt guilty everytime I looked at her. It killed me inside that I couldn't guess what she was thinking.

I run my fingers through my hair "take it! I dont want it" I say truthfully. I hated being popular. I didnt want all this attention. I pull him up from his chair and tousle his hair again with a soft laugh. I smile and cross my legs. I was glad he didnt hate me...

I smiled in relief. She didn't hate me. Why did I care if she liked me or not, though? I chuckled as she tousled my hair and did the same to hers. "I have no idea how I'll comb this for tomorrow." I sighed and ran my fingers through my messy brown hair.

I smile "meet me in the morning and I can help" I say gently. I close the book and pick up the note pad, jotting down some notes to help with the report. I was still smiling, which was extremely unusual

"It'll be even more tangled then. . . . " I said with a grin. "You're gonna have a bad time. . . because I'm going to take you up on that offer. . but I'm lazy so you'll have to come to me." I grinned wider and watched her write notes. I never once thought I'd actually enjoy being with her.
