"I--I what?" Mag startled as he came to her--when had anyone, least of all a male, ever hugged her? She still wanted to know what had happened, but it seemed he didn't want to tell her, or he was avoiding it. Either way, she decided not to go probe his mind for any details. Not if he didn't want her to know. Slowly, she put her arms under his, hands on his back, in an awkward sort of fashion that only the people who never hug can give. "Of course I am," she murmured softly, still a little surprised and confused at what was happening. What did he do? And he said...friend. As in... She felt how he shook even as she herself trembled slightly, and was quiet a long time until she took his shoulder. "Let's get out of here. We can go to my room."
