I felt a shifting, and then the side of my bed was empty... Warm, but empty. I slowly sat up and took my cane, carrying myself down. I smiled at him gently,"Good morning,"I said quietly, trying to keep the mood light.

I looked up from my cereal, swallowing what I had left in my mouth. "Good morning." I whispered, spooning up some more cereal. I finished up and put my bowl in the sink, "Whaddya wanna do today?" I asked with a big smile. We hadn't gone out in long time, I thought she might like a trip to the beach or just some ice cream, or something of the sort.

"Uhm... Swimming sounds like a good, to me anyway," I said with a smile, sitting down gently on a stool. Swimming was easy, didn't hurt my leg, and lately I had been avoiding the idea. Now, I was fine.
