Eden sat on the roof of the house quietly, having been awake for a while that morning. She heard footsteps behind her, and her heart nearly stopped. She sighed in relief when Chroma walked up and sat down next to her, pulling her knees to her chin. "Morning."
"Eden, where is your real daughter?"
Eden went silent. "Chroma...why are you asking me that?"
"My brother said that he met your daughter before. He won't tell me about her. Why is that?"
"I don't even think Chyster knows we have a daughter other than you. He never asked about you and why you aren't an Ender or his species."
"I don't think he cares." Eden laughed quietly. "That's good, though. Less explaining."
"Can I meet your daughter?"
"Now?" Chroma asked hopefully.
With a small smile, she gave in. "Alright...she's seen you before, so she knows you, and all you have to do is find my home in the End. Do you remember where that is?" When Chroma nodded, she grinned. "Good. Just head over there and you can see her. I can't promise she'll talk, though."
"Thank you." Chroma nodded to Eden and stood up. She walked down to the lower floor of the house, below the living room, where a portal to the End was structured. She made her way through silently, closing the door of the room as she entered, right before she entered the portal.
