I bit a small part of my lip, hoping he wouldn't notice. "So, all of the children you've had come from the five different wives?" I questioned him and began climbing up the red velvet stairs, pulling the cloak up slightly so I wouldn't fall.

I shook my head. "No. My daughter was of my first wife and Mary Anne died giving birth to my son. You saw him earlier." I answered and sighed.
