Tasuki walked down the halls, her head lifted proudly. She was the new girl, and she tried to blend in. Her eyes flashed at the mortals, and she shook her head. Tasuki stopped at her locker, bending down to reach her locker. She set in the combanation,13-12-3 she chanted, and opened it with pride. At least she had got it on her first try. She glanced at the time, and grabbed her books. She ran down the halls, rushing into her class. Tasuki picked a front row seat, and sat down.

Kuso walked into the school uneasily. His bright-like tiger eyes looked at the teenagers scrambling around, making room for him. He nodded at a girl, and headed to his locker. A small girl with brown hair scooted next to him, her eyes glaring hatredly. "Hi." He growled, taking out his books before stepping away.

Akiko nervously pulled out her journal and book, setting them on her desk. The teacher, Mrs Smith, introduced herself. Akiko looked around at the other kids, bored or passing notes, many chewing gum and teting under the desk. She didn't understand mortals. Confusedly, she shifted in her chair uncomfortably and pretended to listen to the teacher.

Matsuo sneered and leaned back in his seat, putting his feet on the desk. The teacher was about to object when she stopped after seeing his hard glare. She turned away and continued to write on the whiteboard, and Matsuo glanced up when a girl walked into the classroom looking proud.

Tasuki looked at Matsuo and looked away. She showed no fear, and she seated herself behind him. She pulled out her journal and book, and set them noisely desk. Tasuki smirked, and took a pencil out of her bag. She set her feet on Matsuo's chair, smirking smugly.

Kuso walked in, seeing that he was late. He looked at the teacher, a cold flash in his eyes. He seated himself in the back. A teenager looked at him with smirking eyes, but he flashed him a sneer. The teenager leaned back in his chair nervosuly; shooting glances at him.

[By the way, Akiko means "autumn" and Matsuo means "victorious."]

Akiko listened to the teacher, and she turned to the class. "Okay, class, we're all going to say our names. Starting with.. You." Mrs Smith said, pointing at a random brown haired kid with a backwards hat. "Jude." Said the guy carelessly, and a bunch of girls giggled. Akiko just looked at him weirdly. Glancing up, she saw a boy enter the room. She looked away quickly and started drawing in her notebook.

Matsuo's eyes narrowed when she set her feet up on his chair. Oh, so the woman thinks she owns the place? He thought rather rudely, swiveling to look her in the eye. "Excuse me." Matsuo spoke in his boyish voice, with a deadly tone.

Tasuki looked at him calmly. "Yes?" She asked fearlessly, an edge to her tone. She purred softly as his deadly tone, picking up her pencil to write something. Like I'm scared She wrote, showing it to Matsuo's face.

Kuso watched Akiko, a smile breaking at his lips. He sat down, bringing his bag close to him. He watched the teacher, as she wrote weird numbers on the board. Hi, he wrote and passed into Akiko.

Matsuo glared at the paper, and rose his glare up to her face. He wasn't going to touch her, so he just kept on glaring into her eyes with his grey ones. After a moment of silence, "Your feet are on my chair.."

Akiko was startled as she found the note, laying on her desk, with one simple word, 'Hi.' Her gaze slowly shifted to the boy sitting by her, smiling. Flicking her eyes away, she bit her lip and looked down at the paper with metallic blue eyes. "Ahem." The teacher said clearly, gaining Akiko's attention. Her eyes snapped up to the teacher. "Your name?" "..... A... Akiko.." She stuttered, earning laughs from the other students. Then the teacher looked at the boy next to her, "What about you?"

Tasuki glared at him back, and a small flicker filled her eyes. Her eyes darted away, and she looked at Mrs. Smith. Mrs. Smith was looking at a boy, sitting next to Akiko. She smiled and looked at Matsuo again. "Stupid mortals, huh?" She whispered slightly, staring into his eyes. 

Kuso looked at Mrs. Smith. "K-Kuso." He stammered, and looked at the laughing kids with burning mad eyes. He slowly took the note, and a flicker entered his eyes. 'Um, I'm Kuso.' He wrote, handing it to her.

Akiko felt her face burn red and she covered it with her silver hair, when she finally felt better, she peeked at the note. Hi, I'm Kuso. It read, and Akiko stared at it, pupils small. She shakily picked up her pen, and wrote in neat print, Akiko. Biting her lip nervously, she passed it back and avoided eye contact.

Matsuo watched her with cold eyes, and when she turned back he raised an eyebrow. Instead of writing, he mumbled "Which means you're not one.." It was more of a statement than a question. His eyes flicked back up to her, and they softened only a little. Knew it.. Thought Matsuo. Then, instead of the teacher calling on him she skipped him, like every year, and looked at Tasuki. "Your name?"

Tasuki looked steadily at Matsuo. "Of course not, silly." She mumbled back, and looked down & played with her hair. Tasuki took her pencil, and looked at the teacher. "I'm Tasuki." She mumbled,  not making any contact with anyone. She wrote something on a piece of paper, then tore it up with ease. 

Kuso looked away, his blonde hair covering his eyes. He took the note, and printing in dark letters;
Nice name.He wrote steadily and passed it to her desk. As the teacher handed out a worksheet, she spoke to each kid. "Akiko and Kuso will be partners." Mrs. Smith told him, and he flinched at a kids' glare.

Akiko blushed a faint pink, and stared at the dark letters. When she was about to respond, she heard the teacher's voice. Partners? With him? Akiko glaced at him through strands of hair. He seemed nice.. But what if he was just playing a joke on her? "Haha, you thought I actually liked you?" She could imagine him saying, and looked away. Don't think that.. Looking back down at the paper, she wrote, Are you new here? And quickly passed it.

Matsuo's glare faded and all he looked was serious now. "Hmph." He confirmed, glancing at the other students. Most throwing erasers or talking quietly and laughing. Mortals are stupid.. Thought Matsuo, rolling his gray eyes. Humans. Then, the bell rang, loud and clear. Standing abruptly, he walked out of the classroom.

Akiko, seeing it was time to go, waved a quick goodbye to Kuso. She got pushed and shoved on her way out the door, and ran when she was out.
