So, this is for either auditions for choirs, parts in plays or productions, or whatever you're auditioning for.
Nervousness.
It's okay to be nervous when having an audition. It's completely natural. But it's good to try and calm down, I find peppermint tea or chamomile tea helps sometimes. Maybe try to think of something else, but still try to remember lines or songs. But just don't panic, because things like this usually go well. Remember, if you really aren't sure about this audition, don't push or pressure yourself into it.
Lines/Lyrics
When auditioning, it's best to know your part or lyrics. It makes it easier, and a lot less stressing or distracting. If you're going for an acting part, research your character. Find the character inside (corny, right? but it works...) Also, when singing, do voice exercises; you'll find tutorials anywhere on the internet.
The actual Audition.
Just remember, that you can always try again if you're not completely happy. When singing in the audition, don't look at the audience. Focus on a point at the very back of the room, and do your best. When doing an acting audition, be confident. Be as clear as possible, and be loud, but not too loud. If you forget your lines, just forget about it, and improvise on what you think the line might be, but do it in a way that your character would do.
