Is the 3DS worth it?

I'm wondering about getting myself a 3DS. I have the very first original one, that I'm not going to sell because I love it.
I've been looking on websites, and people are selling secondhand ones. They're about €150! The new ones are about €180, so I think I'd prefer to get the new one for a few reasons.
(a Because it's new. No scratches on the screen.
(b The local electronics store gives you a free game with each console you buy
(c No missing stylus, and no scratched games.
I'm just trying to be careful with my money seeing as it's such a lot. My two friends got themselves one, and they love it. But I'm just not sure, although I'd LOVE to get one.

Honestly I don't use mine. It hurts my eyes. It's only worth it if you're planning on getting a bunch of the new games.

The 3D feature loses it's novelty after awhile; but aside from that it's a pretty good handheld system. A lot of great games are already released for it, plus a whole lot of others in development. And even if you didn't have your original DS, you could still play DS games as the 3DS supports them. It can be used for more than just gaming as well. I use mine as a pedometer (tracks my steps), write quick notes to myself, check time, camera, and I even have an art program downloaded so I can doodle and such.

I think its worth it. Even if you don't use the 3d there is other stuff that makes the 3ds better.

1. analog stick or thumb pad.
2. better graphics then a ds.
3. the games are better and faster.

those are the one i can think of on top of my head. if you get you will learn there is a lot more to love about it.

Being normal is so boring~
Why not be insane instead?

If you don't mind the rubbish 3Dimensional effect then yes, I'd recommend it.
But, let us just hope that you don't end up fatiguing your eyes whilst doing so!
I had to get glasses because of this...

Yes.

Someone once told me not to bite off more than I can chew. I told them I'd rather choke on greatness than nibble on mediocrity.

But let's be honest here, it could have had at least more depth pushed into it, sometimes I find it very hard to tell whether or not my finger is even on the slider! But, that doesn't mean it is easy, for the actual developers of this game console, I mean. So, I guess I could say it is, exceptional?
