I love texting because you don't have to hear your voice and hate it. I hate mine and I don't want any people hearing a horrible voice

It depends. If you just need a small favor or checking up on someone, then texting sure. But for when I want an actual conversation, I find calling to be easier and more effective. You can get a better idea of their feelings when you can actually hear them, opposed to just reading typed out words. But to each their own, I suppose.

I can hear their voice. If someone says something sarcastic to me, I can see in their tone of voice that it is sarcasm. More importantly, I am a very sarcastic person (what joy), and I like to make sure the people know that I'm kidding with them. I've lost a lot of friends over texting because "jk" doesn't always boat their float.
