I just started getting into this anime show called Fullmetal Alchemist. I''ve only watched a few episodes so far. What I understand at this point is that the main characters, Edward and Alfonse [who are brothers], lost their mother and Alfonse''s soul is now in a robot body. I don''t know what happened to him that requires him to live this way. I do know that they are looking for the Philosopher''s Stone so they can return their mother to them and get their bodies back to the way they were. I also know that Edward has become a state alchemist so he can more easily find the Stone, but people don''t really like the state alchemists. If i''m wrong about any of this, please correct me, and i would really appreciate it if you could fill in the blanks and inform me more on the show so it could be more clear. Thanks.

um thats not how you spell Alfonse.its Alphonse and they aren't trying to bring their mom back with the philosepher's stone,just their bodies.

In the manga/ anime, it's spelled Alphonse but in real life, it can be spelled like that too
