DIFFERENT POEMS

I cannot do P.E. today.
I’m really, really ill.
My mom said not to exercise
‘Cause I might get a chill.

I’m sorry I don’t have a note.
I think my mom forgot.
I shouldn’t even be outside.
She said it’s way too hot.

The sit-ups hurt my stomach, and
The pull-ups hurt my head.
The stretches hurt me everywhere.
I should be home in bed.

I cannot do the jumping jacks,
The push-ups and the run.
I’ll just sit here and read a book
Until P.E. is done.

Oh look, the class is coming back
From running twenty laps.
I’m starting to pep up a bit.
I’ll try to stand, perhaps.

My mom said it would be okay
To play a game or two.
If I could play some basketball
I’d feel as good as new.

Hey, what did Teacher mean
When he said, “Sorry, it’s too late.”
HE ALREADY CALLED NINE-ONE-ONE?
THEY’RE GONNA OPERATE?

Can’t anybody take a joke?
I’m only having fun.
Oh, no! Here comes the ambulance!
Goodbye. I’ve gotta RUN!

was it ok,,well here is another one

I know that I am ready.
I’m sure that I can win.
The other kids cannot believe
the awesome shape I’m in.

My training has been difficult,
but I have met the test.
I may be just a rookie but
I’m out to beat the best.

The whistle blows... I’m starting slow...
but, quickly, I adjust...
And soon I’m leaving everyone
exhausted in my dust.

Competitors are slowing now...
and many are conceding...
It’s time they crowned the latest king
of power-pizza-eating!

U gals and guys want another one?ok

Two million eyes are watching me;
a million tongues are cheering.
The fears I might have felt before
are quickly disappearing.

Tonight I’m feeling ready--
completely “in the zone.”
I know I have the courage now
to face this test alone.

I turn and twist, and float and fly,
as if my arms were wings.
I rise so high I touch the sky--
my legs are filled with springs.

I scoff and laugh at gravity,
defying all its laws.
With every leap, I hear the cheers,
and thunderous applause.

Olympic dreams of glory
are soaring in my head.
For I’m the best that ever lived
at bouncing on my bed.
