Cassidy Wright - Queen of the Sims

Cassidy Wright is a perfectly ordinary 15 year-old kid, she hangs out with her friends, plays video games and likes Kermit the frog. But she gets to do the coolest things. She helps her brainiac dad make video games, hangs out with her friends and designs robots for the hit TV show BattleBots. Some girls have all the luck.

Cassidy's dad is Will Wright and he's the genius behind The Sims series of games. She's helped him with his games for 10 years now, starting when she was five years old! When her dad is going to add something to The Sims the first person he talks to is Cassidy. She looks at what's going into the game and gives it a thumbs up if she thinks it's cool or a thumbs down if it's a stinker. She's the reason your Sims are about family life rather than work life. "What is interesting is the people, not what they do for a living," she says. When you're playing The Sims you're really playing in Cassidy's world.

When she isn't busy helping to create virtual worlds, Cassidy is designing robot gladiators for BattleBots - a TV show about robots that fight it out. Cassidy has been creating strange and wacky robo-warriors for years now. One of her earliest bots was the lightweight Triple Redundancy, her latest was ChiaBot - it didn't do so well in battle but it looked wicked.

Currently Cassidy's dad is working on The Sims: Hot Date and The Sims Online. Cassidy's probably giving him all kinds of cool ideas right now.

Whether she's thinking up new furniture for The Sims, designing a metal warrior for BattleBots or just hanging out with her friends, Cassidy Wright is in charge. She has the world, real and virtual, in the palm of her hand.
