Spooky Music for Halloween

Plan on going to any Halloween parties this year or do ya just want some beats to put you in the spirit? From dance tunes to horror movie soundtracks here are some of our Halloween spooksters for a ghostly evening of fun.
Halloween Music - Thriller by Michael Jackson
Eeek! This
'80s tune is the best Halloween shake-your-zombie-booty tune around. Thriller is about 15 minutes long, it's spooky and it's very danceable - not to mention it's classic
Michael Jackson. It even includes a narrated part by a spooky-voiced guy named Vincent Price. It's
perfect party music for a game of pin the tail on the werewolf or bobbing for brains. If you've never seen the
video for
Thriller, you should fix that - it's the video that
Jennifer Garner's character in
13 Going on 30 can't get enough of!

Halloween Music - Monster Mash by Bobby "Boris" Pickett
Monster Mash is a song your parents probably heard at their parties and it's still going strong. It's
an oldie from 1962 but it's become
a classic tune at Halloween bashes. Monster Mash is also a good song to dance or twist to, especially if you are decked out in some sort of
ghoulish costume. The bubbling noises of Igor experimenting
in the lab are great!
Halloween Music - Ghostbusters by Ray Parker Jr.
Here's an anti-ghost song to rid your house of ghouls this
October 31st. The song is the theme from the
Ghostbuster movies. If you have any
uninvited guests in your house, who ya gonna call? Ghostbusters!
Halloween Music - People Are Strange by The Doors
This tune is one of The Doors' eeriest tunes. Haunting
organs, Jim Morrison's deep voice and the slow strum of the
bass are enough to send a chill up your spine.
People Are Strange was remade and can be heard in all its spooky best in the
classic '80s movie The Lost Boys - a flick about vampires.
Halloween Music - The Rocky Horror Picture Show Soundtrack
Anything from
The Rocky Horror Picture Show soundtrack is great to rock to, especially
The Time Warp. Every year, moviegoers rush to theaters across North America dressed as their
favorite characters to sing-a-long to the cult classic.
Halloween Music - Other Soundtracks
Other great movie or TV spooky themes include
The X-Files,
The Addams Family,
The Exorcist,
Jaws and
Buffy The Vampire Slayer.
