Jessica Simpson Gets Her Start

Jessica Simpson's singing talent was discovered at a church summer camp in Dallas, Texas. Jessica then went on to tour Chistian conferences singing tunes like True Love Waits. Jessica Simpson also tried out for a part on the Mickey Mouse Club when she was only 12 but she didn't get the part.

Jessica Simpson Hits It Big

In the late '90s, Jessica Simpson made the switch from Christian music to pop. Jessica Simpson signed with Columbia Records and released her album Sweet Kisses. The album launched Jessica Simpson's career and featured hits like I Wanna Love You Forever and I Think I'm In Love. Simpson's second album, Irresistible, showed Jessica's more flirty, sexy side. Jessica Simpson then came out with In This Skin in August of 2003 and a lot of the songs were inspired by her marriage to Nick Lachey.

In 2002, Jessica Simpson married longtime boyfriend Nick Lachey of 98 Degrees. Jessica Simpson then released the book, I Do: Achieving Your Dream Wedding. The book tells the story of Jessica Simpson's wedding and gives tips on planning your own wedding. Jessica Simpson and Nick Lachey went on to star in their own reality TV show on MTV called The Newlyweds. The show was an instant hit - mainly because Jessica Simpson's repeated blonde moments kept audiences laughing - but their marriage wasn't all fun and games - the couple filed for divorce in 2005.

Jessica Simpson - From Pop Charts to Big Screen

Jessica Simpson has managed to dominate the pop charts for many years, but since her MTV show has come to an end, Jessica has been bit by the acting bug. In the summer of 2005, Jessica Simpson made her film debut playing Daisy Duke in Dukes of Hazzard. For the flick, Jessica released the track These Boots Were Made for Walking, featuring Willie Nelson, who was also in the movie. Jessica also stars in the comedy Employee of the Month with Dane Cook, due in theaters October 6, 2006!

Jessica Simpson and Nick Lachey - A Public Affair

After four years of marriage, Nick and Jessica have called it quits. The two used to be crazy in love but have now gone their separate ways. Since their split, both Nick and Jessica have released new albums. Jessica's album, A Public Affair is an upbeat dance album, while Nick's album, What's Left of Me is a lot more of a downer. Both Jessica and Nick are bouncing back romantically, however. Jessica has been linked to John Mayer and Nick is dating TRL's Vanessa Minnillo.
