Well, there is this girl. And she REALLY likes me. She's a pretty good friend too. I always thought she was HOT, but if we go out, won't that wreck our friendship? She asked me out and I was afraid to say no cuz I thought she'd get upset and cry and stuff - and she IS my friend. She's HOT and nice and all that, and I mean HOT! Write!

So this friend of yours, is she HOT? Cuz that's all I really got from your letter. You didn't say anything about why she was a great friend, what you two had in common or really any good reason for the two of you to go out. You just didn't want to hear her cry and you think it would be cool to date her cuz she's HOT. Sorry, that's just not gonna work. Of course you will ruin your friendship if you say yes - you'd be dating her for all the wrong reasons. And that will make her cry a whole lot more than if you are just honest and let her know that you're worried that dating will ruin what you already have. Whether she's HOT or not.
