Dear Dish-It,
Last year I had asked a guy to a dance when I was a major tomboy. This year I act like a real girl. I wear skirts and stuff, and the same guy I liked last year is flirting with me, talking to me and calling me. I still like him so how do I get him to ask me to the dance? I don't want to look like I'm desperate!

Dear Beachgrl_42,
Okay, I'm not quite getting your whole story here... did the guy diss you last year when you asked him out? And, why did you change your look? There is nuthin' wrong with not being a "girlie-girl." If this guy turned you down last year cuz you didn't wear skirts and plaster yourself with make-up, than he's not worth your time this year either. It might be flattering that he's showing an interest but a guy that's really worth it will like you for you and not what you wear. If you want to go to the dance with him, I'd let him make the first move. If he doesn't ask you, don't sit at home and sulk. There are plenty of boys who would love to go with you - so ask one of them!
So gotta burnin' question? Need some love directions? Thinkin' about stuff like teen suicide, depression, sex, low self-esteem, boyfriends, girlfriends, losing old friends, bullying or peer pressure but are too scared to ask the 'rents? Don't be scared to Dish-It. Just remember, if you hang out in chat with other Kidzworld members who know you by your nick, you might wanna use a secret nick when you write in. That way no one will ever know it's you. Remember though, Dish-It gets tons of letters a day, so she can't answer 'em all. But keep checkin' the column cuz chances are, she'll be answering something very similar to your question soon. Thanks! Got some words of wisdom you wanna share? We'll dish them up too.
