Classic Halloween Costume Ideas

Halloween Costumes
Halloween is just around the dark, scary corner and if you don't have a costume idea yet, you'd better get on it quick! Kidzworld has a few ideas on what to wear on the 31st of October, when you're trick-or-treatin' up a storm. If you're not interested in following the trends this Halloween, check out these classic costume ideas - they're guaranteed to scare a few souls!
Vampire
Count Dracula is a classic
Halloween costume that's kept its popularity over the years because hey, who doesn't want to wear fangs? To pull off this look, get a
black cape,
black clothes, white face
make-up and a little dark eyeliner. Throw in some
fake blood and those classic,
plastic fangs and you'll be in high
vampire style. If you're looking for an update of this Halloween costume, try vamping up like
Mona the Vampire from the cool UK cartoon!
Ghost
All you need is a
white sheet. It's the simplest, most
cost-efficient homemade Halloween costume on the block. Yeah, it's boring and people will be more
scared of a puppy than you, but sometimes
retro is in. And if you're lucky, you could find a
creepy mask to go with your sheet. If not, don't forget to
cut eyeholes out of your sheet.
Witch
Wiccans are the most classic costumes. You can totally customize the look and be a scary witch, a warty witch, or a good witch. The typical
ghoulish witch carries a
broom and wears a long, black robe and
pointy hat with a large brim. Apply
green face paint and a rubber nose with a big
wart, or snag yourself a witch mask from a costume store. You may also want to use a portable
plastic cauldron to collect your loot in.
A good witch is also easy to do. Think Wizard of Oz - Glenda, the Good Witch looked kind of like a fairy. Lots of white clothing, a little glitter make-up and a pretty wand (maybe even a tiara) will have your outfit looking perfect.
