April Fools' Day :: April 1st
The first day in April is always April Fools' Day, though not everyone is a fool on April 1st. Many years ago, April 1st used to be New Year's Day. Then the calendar changed but some people still celebrated the new year on the first of April. Those would be the fools. These days, it's just a day to play tricks on your pals.Ching Ming :: April 5th
It is believed that unhappy spirits wander all over the world on this day. Ching Ming or Qingming festival is a day when graves are tidied and freshened up. It's considered unlucky to do important business or have an operation on this day. Who celebrates this grave holiday? It's officially celebrated in Hong Kong and Taiwan but the holiday is popular in other Asian countries too.Passover :: April 20th - 26th
Passover is a Jewish holiday that celebrates the freeing of the Jewish slaves from Egypt more than 3,000 years ago. It is a family holiday that is celebrated with special foods, songs and customs. In 2008, Passover goes from April 20th to 26th.Earth Day :: April 22nd
