Sunless Tanning Products for a Great Tan
Body Shop Bronzing BeadsWith the summer sunshine in full effect comes the warning of skin cancer. Everybody knows it's super unhealthy to bake in the sun, but it's still fun to have that nice, tanned look. Here are a few beauty tips and tricks to get that warm copper glow without doing any major damage to your skin.
Tanning Products - Bronzing Powders
Add a bronzing powder to your morning
make-up routine. Bronzing powders come in
various shades (for different tanning effects) and can be pressed powder,
loose powder or even beads. Use a big
fluffy brush to apply the powder to your forehead, down the top of your
nose, your cheekbones and your chin. Kidzworld recommends
Brush On Beads from The Body Shop. They come in gold, copper and bronze powdered beads that
last forever... well, not really, but it lasts a long time! Check out
The Body Shop to buy it online or check out your local Body Shop store.
Tanning Products - Self-Tanners
Ok, so now you've got a nice
sun-kissed glow on your face, but what about the snow white skin on the rest of
your body? Try a
self-tanner. It's a cream, lotion or foam that gives your skin a
brown tint without the harmful rays of the sun.
But, not all self-tanning creams are good. Depending on your
skin coloring and the quality of the product, you may end up looking more like
a carrot than a beach bunny! If the product is really cheap, leave it on the shelf unless you like the orange look. Try asking someone in the
cosmetics department if the product will turn your skin
orangy or streaky. A good one to try is
Neutrogena's Instant Bronze Sunless Tanner. Neutrogena even has a video on their website to teach you
how to apply it properly and avoid getting lines on your skin. Watch the video at
www.neutrogena.com.
Tanning Products - Full Body Glow
We know that basking in
the sun all day is unhealthy for our skin and lying in a
tanning bed isn't great either. So, what can you do to get that all-over tan? Why not try
airbrushing it on? Tanning salons all over
the world are offering this unique method of sunless tanning. Airbrushing means you're sprayed from
head to toe with an
aloe vera-based tanning mist that contains DHA, the
active ingredient found in most sunless tanning products. It takes about eight hours to
soak in completely, but it gives you a great
no-streak look that can last up to ten days.
So next time you're thinking about baking your skin in the sun, why not get your tan from a powder or a bottle? Let us know if you've ever used a self-tanner or bronzing powder and how it worked for ya!
I think that this is a good idea.
