Free Comic Book Day - The Inside Scoop
Free Comic Book Day started two years ago as a
promotional day to bring new comic
readers into stores. This day is also strategically linked to major
comic-inspired movies. It
coincided with the release of
Spider-Man in 2002, and the opening weekend of
X2: X-Men United in 2003. Now in its
third year, Free Comic Book Day will follow the release of
Spider-Man 2, which opens in theatres on June 30, 2004.
