Book Review - The Cure for Crushes

Author: Karen Rivers
When you first met Haley Harmony in The Healing Time of Hickeys, she was completely obsessed with recording every moment of TGYML on her laptop. Well she's still obsessing, but now she's chronicling TGYML2 (The Greatest Year of My Life, Part Two) in The Cure for Crushes (and Other Deadly Plagues)!
The Cure for Crushes - Serial Obsesser
So
TGYML2 is off to a great start cuz Haley finally has
a boyfriend. He's cute, he's athletic and... he's
really nice. Maybe that's why she's just not that into him and finds herself
crushin' on every other guy out there, even her best friends' BFs! TGYML2 starts to go seriously downhill, as her
serial crushes lead to serial
sicknesses (or so she thinks) and serial accidents, from falling into the river while
bungee-jumping in a bikini in the winter to running off a cliff during a
marathon and
breaking her leg! Pretty soon, all she wants is to get the good-haired days to outnumber the bad, which can be difficult for someone who's suffering from
hair loss!
The Cure for Crushes - Side-Splitting Laughs
We've all had our fair share of
red-faced moments, and that's why it's so easy to relate to the
accident-prone Haley. Her quirky accidents and comical thoughts are the best part of the book cuz they'll
make you laugh until your stomach hurts!
The Cure for Crushes - Bottom Line
If you liked
Bridget Jones' Diary (the book, not the flick), then you'll love The Cure for Crushes. Just like Bridget, Haley Harmony is clumsy, sweet and
obsessive, and she'll definitely help ya
discover the cure for crushes.
