Rayman Advance :: GBA Game Review

Dec 27, 2006

Rayman's the armless, legless hero of his world. He's catching some Z's when the big bad Mr. Dark wallops Betilla the fairy and steals the Great Protoon. Without the Protoon the Electoons scatter and the balance of the world is tossed around worse than the new kid at high school.

Rayman Advance Game Fun!

Rayman to the rescue! Take control of the little purple guy and jump right into a heaping helping of adventure and fun. Rayman has to run back and forth, jump pits, fly mosquitoes and dodge bad guys from one end of the world to the other. Rayman's friend, Betilla the fairy, pops in occasionally to bless you with an extra power or two, like the ability to punch out the bad guys, or hang on cliff edges. It's up to you to free the Electoons, stop Mr. Dark, rescue the Protoon and even get your picture taken.

Rayman Advance Sweet Graphics

The purple hero has some serious heroics to do, but he has some sweet scenery to gawk at while he's saving the world. The brand new Game Boy Advance graphics blow the shorts off of the Game Boy Color, with moving backgrounds and really sharp images. The only problem is that you can't see very far which can be a pain for tricky jumps. The sound FX are good and funky but they're a little fuzzy, even with a headset.
