Spider-Man :: Free PC Game Demo

Dec 27, 2006

It's the day before Christmas and all through the house - everyone's fidgeting and can't sleep a wink! You need something to take your mind off of old Saint Nick and all the presents he's bringing you for being good all year. (You were good weren't you?) Here's the adventures of Spider-Man to keep your fingers occupied all through the night.

How often do geeks get to kick this much butt? Peter Parker got chomped on by a spider and went from super-dork to super-hero. Now he's gone from defeating evil in the pages of your fave comic books, to bustin' their butts in your fave video games.

Activision, the guys who digitized the Hawkster, put Spidey on the N64, Playstation and your home computer. His wall-crawling adventures match him up against the Rhino, Doc Ock, the Lizard and more - all under your command.

The computer version is a copy of the N64 and Playstation game Spider-Man. Unfortunately it's a little lacking compared to other computer games cuz the graphics haven't been improved. They look almost the same as the N64 graphics, which are weak compared to what a computer can crank out.

Spidey has a ton of moves and without a good gamepad for your 'puter, it'll take you a while to get the controls straight. Once you get the hang of them, it's crazy how many moves the web-slinger can pull off. He can make shields with his webbing, KO bad guys with it and, of course, swing from building to building.

Spidey is a cool super hero and you can catch a demo of him for your computer by heading to Activision's download page with this link: Download Spider-Man. While you're there, check out Spidey's official site and all the news on Spider-Man 2 Enter: Electro. A word of warning, the demo clocks in at a super-sized 135MB so unless you're on a high speed connection skip it, you'd be waiting longer than it takes the Rhino to pass a math test.
