An evil overlord returns from a different dimension to kick butt in the new Yu-Gi-Oh! card game deck - The Dark Emperor. It's a pre-built deck that's loaded with monsters, traps and spells so new players can grab one and start dueling right away. Here's the 411 on what's in the deck and how strong it is with Gary's review!

Dimension-Hopping Beatdowns and Cool Cards

There are 40 cards in this deck and they have a weird way to win. The full yugioh details are below, but here's a few interesting yugioh cards and some more info on what's in the deck.

  • Powerful Cards: Packed with cards like Sakuretsu Armor, Lightning Vortex, Mystical Space Typhoon and Nobleman of Crossout, this deck is a great way to load up on awesome cards.

  • Deck Strategy: Get Outta Here!

Rather than dumping yugioh cards in the graveyard, The Dark Emperor deck changes the game so that cards end up removed from play instead. This messes up your opponent because suddenly they can't use any cards that do stuff with the graveyard, but you can play tons of cards that power-up when cards are removed from play! There are also a stack of big monsters to help you stomp your confused opponent.

    Useless Cards and Crappy Combos

Half of the monsters in this deck power up when cards have been removed from play, the other half remove cards from play. It takes skill to keep these balanced or half of them become useless!

    Who's The King?

Elvis is the King, but The Dark Emperor deck kicks a lot of butt! It's a bit tricky for first-time Yu-Gi-Oh! duelists, but if you've played a few games it's a great way to grab some awesome cards and try out a strategy that'll leave your opponents wondering what hit them.

    Thumbs Up:

  • Great cards like Sakuretsu Armor and Mystical Space Typhoon.
  • Mess with your opponent's deck.
  • Wicked strategy.
  • Perfect for players with some skill.
  • Thumbs Down:

  • Dark Emperor Deck vs. Dark Emperor Deck = bizarre duel.
  • Takes some skill to use well.
  • Deck Rating: 5
