Use your mad art skills to save Bikini Bottom in the new Drawn to Life: SpongeBob SquarePants Edition game for Nintendo DS! We review it.

It's a normal day at Bikini Bottom when, suddenly, an artist's pencils sink to the bottom of the briny deep. Before you can say "No! Don't do that!" Patrick Starfish has drawn the twisted DoodleBob - a scribbly version of SpongeBob SquarePants that's full of evil. Grabbing a pencil, DoodleBob scribbles up an army of bad guys and sets off to wreck Bikini Bottom! With some help from you, SpongeBob and Patrick draw up DoodlePants - a heroic drawing who will save the day! Or will he? Here's Gary's review. No, not SpongeBob's pet snail - Kidzworld's Gary!

Saving the Day with Art!

Drawn to Life: SpongeBob SquarePants puts you on a mission as DoodlePants - the hero you draw. With karate chops, jump attacks, power-ups and some help from the DS stylus, you challenge DoodleBob and his scribbled bad guys! As you play you clean up town - rubbing out DoodleBob's scribbled messes, bonking his bad guy creations, jumping all over, and challenging huge bosses until you make Bikini Bottom safe again.

Artistic Excellence

Being able to add your own creations to the action makes this game a ton of fun! You get to draw power-ups, chunks of levels, what KO'd bad guys turn into and, of course, the heroic DoodlePants. As you play you'll unlock items too - new power-ups, art tools and decorations for DoodlePants' house in Bikini Bottom. There are 20 levels to play, plus art modes for more drawing fun and a multiplayer mode that lets you challenge your friends!

Paint Splotches and Spills

If you're an awful artist, this game can be frustrating. The drawing tools are limited too, so it's hard to create really awesome pictures and everything ends up looking kinda messy.

Gotta Grabbit?

Drawn to Life: SpongeBob SquarePants Edition is a solid game with a ton of artistic extras that make it even more fun! It's great for showing your creations to your friends, laughing as you bounce around in goofy levels with Patrick and the Bikini Bottom crew, or saving the day. Your inner artist will love this game and it's fun for everybody else too!
