Have you every wanted to rock out with your fave artists? Jam with Miley Cyrus or the Jonas Brothers? Well nows your chance, with PopStar Guitar from XS Games for the Nintendo Wii and PS2! Play hard as the lead guitarist in your band and help your band-mates win the “Battle of the Bands” Worldwide contest!

Poptastic!

PopStar Guitar features 60 of your favorite pop songs including original tracks from artists like Fall Out Boy, Maroon 5, Rihanna, Miley Cyrus, and Jonas Brothers. Much like other games in the music genre, this game takes you on an adventure through the music business with one super cool twist. As you play the game, you get the chance to improve your guitar skills to play more challenging songs! Will you be the next big rock star success story?

Rock Out!

With most guitar games out there making you buy expensive extras, you'll be broke faster than you can say Guitar Hero World Tour. But PopStar Guitar doesn't require any guitars or expensive add ons, it's got something better. We've got one word for you... AirG! The AirG is a snap on for the Wii Remote with 4 buttons for your notes.

Scrolling Nightmare?

Even though PopStar Guitar has some new, creative features, the guys at XS games should have kept one area of the game similar to other music games. Instead of using a roadway stretching into the future look to show players the notes, they changed the note area to run straight up and down the screen. The new view makes it super hard to guess what notes are coming up next and can be hard on the eyes.

Worth the dough?

With tons of cool features PopStar Guitar is a great bang for your buck. The game is pretty cheap considering what some of the other big guitar games run for, and it comes with two AirGs. This way you and a friend can play right away and you don't have shell out another 60 bucks for another guitar. If you want an inexpensive guitar game that's fun and will keep you and your friends busy for hours, then this is game for you!
