Get ready to move it, move it. Alex, Marty, Melman and Gloria are back and causing more trouble in Africa. You’ll get all the animal action you can handle now that Paramount and DreamWorks Home Entertainment have released the Move it! Move it! Double DVD Pack, which comes with Madagascar: Escape 2 Africa AND two adventures from the Nickelodeon series The Penguins of Madagascar.

When we last left our fun-loving crew of animal friends, they were ready to head home to New York in the penguin plane. Unfortunately, the penguins forgot to tell them there wasn’t enough fuel in the plane and they crash-land in Africa. The change of plans isn’t a total loss; all of the animals are surprised to meet wild versions of themselves. Alex the lion reunites with his parents; Gloria the hippo develops a relationship with another hippo named Moto Moto; Melman the giraffe becomes a witch doctor; and Marty the zebra enjoys the company of a wild group of zebras who happen to look, speak and act exactly like him. Meanwhile, the penguins are scheming away, as usual. Will they ever return to New York?

Included in the all-star Madagascar cast are Ben Stiller, Chris Rock, David Schwimmer, Jada Pinkett Smith, Sacha Baron Cohen, Cedric the Entertainer, Andy Richter, Bernie Mac, Alec Baldwin, Sherri Shepherd and Will.i.am. That comes to a total of 11 huge and hilarious stars! What makes this DVD even better is that it doesn’t even rely on its star power and is actually really funny on its own.

If you’re a loyal Madagascar fan, you won’t be disappointed because this DVD comes with loads of bonus material. This two-disc version includes a DVD-ROM that gives you a flash mini-game, an exclusive cheat code for the Madagascar: Escape 2 Africa videogame, HP printables and some web links.

All in all, this movie is the perfect mood-lifter and gets more fun the more you watch it. Buying a copy of this film now could be a good investment because you’ll need to prepare for the release of Madagascar 3 in 2012. Looks like these animals are going to move it, move it at least one more time and you better be prepared to do it with them!
