Dreamworks Animation has done it again with Monsters vs Aliens – a brand-new feature-length film in 3D! If you loved Shrek and Kung Fu Panda, this movie is a must-see for you – and Kidzworld is here to give you the sneak peak and tell you what you can expect in the theatre!

Monsters vs Aliens Scavenger Hunt - B.O.B.Congratulations! You've found B.O.B. for the Monsters vs Aliens DVD Scavenger Hunt!

Monsters vs Aliens is funny and action-packed, and the characters you’ll meet in the movie are totally likeable – no, lovable! – monsters. The story starts with the heroine (Reese Witherspoon) unexpectedly turning into the reincarnation of the 20,000-foot Amazon woman named Ginormica (very subtle!).

She meets other characters – monsters like the Missing Link (Will Arnet) and B.O.B (Seth Rogen), as well as Dr. Cockroach PhD (Hugh Laurie), who embodies every mad scientist cliché right down to the crazy laugh – only catch is, he’s a cockroach.

In terms of plot, the monsters are being kept under wraps by the U.S. government, who doesn’t want the rest of the world to know about them. But when an alien named Gallaxher (Rainn Williams) decides to go after a rare material found only on earth, the government decides to unleash the monsters to combat the alien threat.

One special element in this latest animated flick from Dreamworks is the artistic style, which has a sort of typical 1950s monster-movie feel to it. The music is also amazing and perfectly fits the theme of this film.

This is definitely a movie you and your friends should go see in theatres – you’re guaranteed to have a blast! It’s in 3D, which also fits with the overall theme and style of the movie and makes going to see it in theatres a cooler experience than most other regular films you may go and see. You’ll love all the quirky characters and their funny back-and-forth dialogue – they are what really makes this movie great!
