Pineapple Upside-Down Cake

Go head-over-hells for this yummy, Pineapple upside-down cake. Learn how to make this delicious treat that will truly turn your world upside down! Once you flip the pan over you will see the golden, buttery, rich and creamy pineapple! Celebrate on April 20th, which is National Pineapple Upside Down Cake Day!

Ingredients

  • 1 can sliced pineapple
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 3 tablespoons melted butter
  • 3/4 cup flour
  • 1/3 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 beaten egg
  • 1/4 cup milk

Directions

  • Drain the pineapple.
  • In a bowl, mix the brown sugar and butter. Pour the mixture into a pan.
  • Arrange the pineapple slices over the mixture in the pan in one layer.
  • In another bowl, mix the flour, sugar, baking powder and salt. Add the egg and milk. Spoon the mixture over the pineapple slices.
  • Bake at 350 degrees F for 30-35 minutes. Let it cool outside the oven for 5 minutes and then flip it over onto a plate.
