Madison Pettis Bio

Oct 05, 2009

Madison Pettis may be young, but she’s a star in the making. Born in Arlington, Texas, Madison started taking dance classes at the tender age of four, beginning her journey to the world of entertainment. Read more about Madison in our bio, below!

Pint-Sized Protegee

While taking her first steps in dance, Madison won a contest that got her the cover of Fort Worth Child Magazine. This opportunity gave her a real boost and led the pretty little girl to a modeling contract at a Dallas-based modeling agency. She had print work covering campaigns like Neiman Marcus, Procter & Gamble and General Motors … all this and just five years old!

Like millions of little girls her age around the world, Madison soon grew an interest for the Disney Channel, and became a huge fan of the TV show That’s So Raven. In fact, she liked the program so much she was inspired to start taking acting classes, beginning with a well-known program called Everybody Fits Acting for film, which has had other star pupils like Selena Gomez, Jennifer Stone and Cody Linely.

TV Time

The acting classes sure did pay off: Madison’s first television appearance was on an episode of the kiddy show Barney And Friends. She also landed a gig doing a voiceover for a DVD release called: Boz The Green Bear Next Door.

Movies & More

At seven years of age, Madison and mom Michelle decided it was time to move the aspiring actress to L.A. – home of the film industry. In no time at all Madi booked a number of roles, including guest starring in the series Jericho. She auditioned for a Disney Feature Movie called The Game Plan and, after six long weeks of waiting, won the hearts of the producers and booked the part of Peyton. During the filming process Madison got the call that she had also booked the role as Sophie in Disney’s new show Cory In The House – a role that made Madi known across the nation as Sophie: America’s Angel.

Success Story

Madison’s success didn’t end there. In 2008 she booked another feature film with High School Musical star Corbin Bleu called FreeStyle; she plays his sister Bailey in the movie. Madi also kept working on the second season of Cory In The House.

In March 2008, The Game Plan took Madison to Europe to promote the film in London and Berlin. Around the same time as her trip another booking came calling and she had a new role as Tara in Disney’s Mostly Ghostly feature film. And there was even more good news when she got back to the States: she’d landed a part in yet another movie starring Will Smith! All this before she celebrated her 10th birthday in the summer of 2008!
