Formula 1 2009 :: Wii Game Review

All the teams, cars, tracks and racers from the 2009 Formula 1 season come to Wii for the first time, in what is one of the most realistic racers to grace the console. With spot on motion control and racing action, F1 2009 should be on the shelves of any racing sim fans that own a Wii.

Controls right on the Button

Formula 1 2009 offers a variety of control options and all of them feel great. Go with the motion control steering wheel feel if you fancy that, or kick it old school with the classic controller for more precision and shifting options. With comfortable options no matter how you choose to play, F1 2009 just feels right.

Trulli customizable cars

F1 has all the options you’d expect from a racer of its caliber. Change the braking, gearing, tires, alignment and pretty much everything you’d want to tinker with in your supercar. Career and Championship modes have all the qualifying and practice time necessary before every race for you to modify everything just right, much like in the real world.

Worthy of your Hamiltons?

If the only racing game you have on Wii right now is Mario Kart Wii and you love the genre, take a look at Formula 1 2009. Die Hard F1 fans won’t be disappointed, although it’s not as realistic looking as the PS3 version. The added bonus of Wii-motion control in a more realistic racer should be enough for most to try out this latest Formula.
