2010 Dew Tour: BMX Open

Jul 12, 2018

15-year old Brett “Mad Dog” Banasiewicz became the youngest person to ever win a BMX Competition as he pulled off a major victory in Soldier Field, Chicago at Nike’s 6.0 BMX Dew Tour. Brett also became the youngest Dew Tour winner by narrowly beating out all the top dogs in the Dirt Competition. Brett takes the phrase “go big or go home” to a new level and his skills for just a young pup are shocking the BMX world.

In the Dirt competition, there are three giant dirt jumps that look like huge half pipes and each rider takes turns getting scored on the three jumps. On Brett’s final run, he went for it all with a barspin drop-in, followed by a no-handed frontflip, truck to 360 barspin and a triple tailwhip on the final hit to give him a monster lead on the heavy hitters TJ Ellis, Brandon Dosch and Ryan Nyquist.

5 time Dew Tour champion Jamie Bestwick elevated his way to first place again in the Vert Event. His winning run included an alley oop 540, flair downwhip, invert 540, double down whip, opposite back flair, fastplant flair and huge tailwhips and turndown flairs. Jamie’s point totals are so high that he will be the big favorite to win the Dew Tour again this year.
