Kitty Galore is back in this DS game based off of the movie and it is up to you to send her back to obedience school!

Cats & Dogs: The Revenge of Kitty Galore for the DS is a side scrolling action adventure game. You play as the three main characters from the movie and advance past obstacles in various missions that roughly follows the storyline of the movie. For the most part, the game itself is nothing special, but there is nothing really bad to complain about either. Strictly for fans.

It's a Dog's Life

In the game, you can switch between the three main characters of movie at any time using the L and R buttons. There is Diggs, the rookie dog with anti-gravity shoes and a special bark, is used to do things like push boxes. Catherine, the feline double agent who fights with a newspaper staff, can double jump. Seamus, the streetwise pigeon, can fly, use stealth, and also use bird toys to stun enemies.

You will need to use their different abilities to get through obstacles and solve puzzles. Some combat is done through a quick time event similar to simon says. Each character also gets neat gadgets straight from the movie. Collect key items and power ups to unlock new areas and progress in the game.

The game itself has a total of 45 missions, each falling under six different mission types including escort, stealth, and combat. The missions roughly follows the story of the movie, so you'll get to see familiar locations and events from the movie.

Not much Bow-Wow, but not much Me-Ouch Either

As with most movie tie-in games, don't expect anything super outstanding from Cats & Dogs: The Revenge of Kitty Galore for the DS. On the plus side, there are no terrible bugs or game-breaking features either, so that's good. The game is a bit on the easier side, which is just perfect for the younger fans of the animal films. Overall, you really need to have seen the movie and to be fan in order to truly enjoy this game.
