Tangled is a fun-filled adventure game for Wii that lets fans play with their favorite characters from the movie: Rapunzel and Flynn. Rapunzel was born a princess with beautiful magical hair. An evil woman wanted to steal Rapunzel’s powers so she kidnapped her from the castle. Rapunzel was locked in a tower and raised as her own. Each year on her birthday, the king and queen would release paper lanterns to encourage Rapunzel to come home. In the game, Rapunzel enlists the help of Flynn to escape the tower and make her way home to the castle.

Rapunzel and Flynn

Players must make their way through the forest towards the castle, collecting bits of sunlight and fighting thieves, animals and tower guards along the way. You must alternate between using Flynn and Rapunzel, as each player is capable of accomplishing different things.

Rapunzel uses her magical hair to grow flowers, which reveals sunlight and other objects that will aid in the journey. She can also [kwlink24688]use her hair[/kwlink] to climb objects, swing from branches and help Flynn. Similarly, Flynn uses his sword to fight enemies, clear bushes along the path and discover buried treasure.

Tangled Up

Alternating between Rapunzel and Flynn adds an extra challenge to the game, as players must always be thinking of which character could help them advance. The game provides many prompts to guide characters throughout the challenges, which is especially helpful for the younger demographic of the game. This said, the first level of Tangled is more about discovering the ins and outs of the game, and less about action and adventure. This may turn off players who just want to get right into the game. If you have patience the game will improve. The video game also comes with a free movie ticket to see Tangled in participating theatres.
