Sneak through Jellystone Park stealing picnic baskets and causing trouble in Yogi Bear for Nintendo DS. Read Kidzworld’s review.

In Yogi Bear for Nintendo DS, players need to help Yogi Bear stop the famous Jellystone Park from being destroyed. Along the way, Yogi Bear hears the campers’ picnic baskets calling out to him. Mr. Ranger is on the prowl, but Yogi knows he can outrun him because he is smarter than the average bear. Players must get Yogi and his sidekick Boo Boo through each level without getting into too much trouble.

Picnic Time

In order to avoid Mr. Ranger, players must sneak around and try to stay out of sight at all times. If Yogi is attacked or spotted by Mr. Ranger the trouble meter will increase. Once the meter fills up Yogi will be captured and players will need to go back to the beginning of the level.

There are three picnic baskets in each level. The player needs to collect all of them in order to play a mini game. Along the way players can also collect gears, which can then be used to build new gadgets. Gadgets give players new abilities and let them reach new areas.

Fame

The game holds some appeal for fans of Yogi Bear, and viewers of the recent movie will spot some of their favourite characters and scenes. Unfortunately the levels are fairly similar and the only thing that sets them apart is the different challenges that are offered every few levels. However, one fun level sees Yogi Bear as the highlight of a documentary. Players must make sure campers take pictures of Yogi in order to raise his fame meter. If a player is dedicated to the game and is able to get past the first few levels, they will be rewarded with more fun levels like this one.
