Top 5 Rainy Day Sports

Jul 10, 2018

Rain, rain go away! Rain is definitely a bummer when you have planned a day of sports at the beach or on the baseball field. It’s good to have a back up plan just in case. Here are Kidzworld’s top 5 sports to play in the rain

Longboarding

I wouldn’t have believed it but it is actually easier to pull off some sweet moves on your longboard in the rain. As long as you have some friends to help you play it safe on the side streets to keep a look out for traffic, longboarding is a great sport in the rain. If you don't believe me, just check out this video:

Set up some pillows along the walls and hook up your nerf hoop because nerf basketball is a great indoor sport to play with a friend. Nerf basketball actually is a great game to help develop your actual basketball skills. Learning how to shoot a light and soft ball can really add some finesse to your game.

Tackle Football

If you have never been tackled into a large mud pit while diving for a hail mary, you are missing out on one of the most fun things to do at least once in your life. Tackle football in the muddy rain is pretty safe compared to a dry summer day. The field is usually nice and soft from the rain so you can dive and fall without getting hurt that much. Just make sure to wear some old clothes.

Ping Pong

If you like racquet sports, ping-pong will do just fine on a rainy day. Ping-pong is great for hand eye coordination and it’s one of those sports that you can probably play all day without getting tired at all.

Wii Sports

If you have a Wii, I guess your pretty much set with any sport you really want to play on a rainy day. The Nintendo Wii pretty much has every single sport and when you play them, you can actually get a pretty good workout.
