The Fox and the Hound 30th Anniversary Edition Review

Reviewed by on Aug 10, 2011
Rating: 5 Star Rating

We can’t believe Copper and Tod, stars of The Fox and the Hound, are turning 30! To celebrate Disneys releasing the classic animated film on Blu-Ray and DVD … AND throwing in The Fox and the Hound II to boot. Read the review right here on Kidzworld!

Best Friends Forever

Tod is an orphan fox – both of his parents are gone. Luckily, he’s got a best friend, Copper, who is a hound dog. But as Copper grows up, he learns that it’s his job to hunt foxes. The Fox and the Hound is basically about two traditional enemies who have to figure out how they can possibly stay friends.

Sequel Story

But Tod and Copper’s story doesn't end there. Disney eventually released a sequel to the movie, called The Fox and the Hound II, in which the dog becomes starstruck and joins a doggie singing group heading to the Grand Old Opry. His buddy Copper doesn’t really play too big a role in the film, but there’s still lots of talk about friendship, especially in hit songs like “Friends for Life” and “We Go Together.”
