Hoodwinked Too! Hood vs. Evil Blu-Ray + DVD Review

Hoodwinked Too! Hood vs. Evil is a funny, modern take on the classic fairytale, and it’s out on Blu-Ray and DVD on August 16, 2011! Watch as Hansel and Gretel get kidnapped by a witch, leaving it up to the Happily Ever After agency to save them!

Kidnapped

When Hansel and Gretel are held hostage by a wicked witch, the Happily Ever After agency (HEA) jump to the rescue. Unfortunately, Granny gets kidnapped in the process. Meanwhile, Red Riding Hood is away at the Sisters of the Hood training facility, where she learns combat skills along with the recipe for a cake that will make the eater all powerful.

Unassuming Teammates

When Red hears that her Granny has been captured, she reluctantly teams up with the Big Bad Wolf and Twitchy the over-caffeinated squirrel to save her and the kids. But something isn’t quite right. It seems the witch isn’t the mastermind behind the kidnapping after all. She is merely a pawn in someone else’s attempt to learn the recipe to the all-powerful cake.

The Bottom Line

While Hoodwinked Too! Hood vs. Evil can drag on at times, with what felt like the end of the movie being followed by another action scene, it still got us laughing – although not everyone thought all the jokes were THAT funny. But it may be worth checking out on Blu-Ray + DVD anyway.
