Season 5 of Gossip Girl begins with Serena working in L.A., Blair rethinking her engagement to Louis, and Chuck living life in the “yes” lane. Episode 1, “Yes, Then Zero,” aired on Sept 26, 2011.
Blair’s Wedding Battle
Blair’s wedding preparations aren’t going as planned. Louis is taking his mother’s side on every decision, from which flowers Blair should carry to what dress she should wear. Then, when Louis bails on Blair before an important event, Blair decides to break off the engagement. She seeks refuge with Dan, who doesn’t tell Blair that the reason Louis bailed on her was because of him.
Serena’s New Job
Serena has embarked on a new phase in her life. She’s in L.A. working for a film production agency. Unfortunately, as she takes on more responsibility, her supervisor tries to sabotage her. But instead of getting fired, her honesty earns her an even better position than she hoped for.
Chuck’s New Perspective
Chuck and Dan are enjoying Los Angeles as well. Chuck is living life in the fast lane, saying “yes” to everything he’s offered. Meanwhile, Dan is captivated by a beautiful older woman.
Dorota’s Positive Test
It turns out that the positive pregnancy test revealed in season 4's finale belonged to Blair’s maid, Dorota. But Blair’s wedding dress fitter discovers that Blair’s measurements are a little out of whack, particularly in her belly. Could she be pregnant too?
Gossip Girl Fashion
Blair may have to wear her soon-to-be mother-in-law's wedding dress, but at least it fits! Blair looks beautiful in this Theia fall 2011 wedding gown.
