Born in Charlotte, North Carolina Brittany Leanna Robertson is the oldest of seven children with three brothers and three sisters. Although she was born in North Carolina she grew up in South Carolina, and was homeschooled. She started acting in local theater when she was young, and as soon as she hit her teens decided that she wanted to pursue acting seriously and would take trips to L.A. to audition, eventually moving there with her grandmother to act.
Movie Magic
Britt landed a spot in a television pilot that unfortunately didn’t get picked up, but she continued auditioning and in 2003 she booked the main role in a movie called The Ghost Club, and quickly after that started landing more roles. One of the biggest being the role of Cara Burns in Dan in Real Life, starring comedian Steve Carrell. Britt also had lots of small television roles on shows like Power Rangers, Swingtown, Law and Order and CSI. She was on a roll, and it was only a matter of time before she became a TV starlet!
Life Unexpected to Secret Circle.
In 2010 Britt starred in the TV show Life Unexpected as Lux Cassidy, a 15-year-old in foster care who tries to become emancipated (a.k.a. live on her own) but ends up finding her real parents. Her father doesn’t know he had a daughter and her mother is star radio DJ, and they end up getting custody .Britt now stars as another teenager in the CW’s new supernatural show The Secret Circle. Britt plays Cassie Blake, a teen who has to move to the small town of Chance Harbor where her Grandmother lives because her mother dies in a tragic house fire. Little does she know, moving there will reveal her ancestry and destiny as a witch!
